This is Izzy's own SCCA road race RX7 that will compete in the Improved Touring A class (ITA) or the IT7 class which is a class for only the first generation RX7's with the 12a engine.
The new cage is installation is going well. The pads have been fabricated to the extent of the Improved Tourings pad regulations (100 square inches, plus 2" min., 12" max. on one side rule). The cage itself (1.5", .095 DOM) is a very tight fit and touches the body in as many places as possible. A change was required to the front downbars upon rereading the front downbar rules. A halo bar was installed instead of full length downbars/headache bar. To see more pics of the completed cage, click here.
