The following pictures are of Mazda RX7 that competes in the SCCA's Improved Touring A and IT7 classes. Originally built by PFM Racing, but now racing somewhere in the Southeast, this RX7 was Scott's introduction to road racing and the first cage he was involved with.

The cage was built using 1.5"x.095 DOM on the required bars. *** The rear hoop braces should have bars going from the hoop directly down to the same side rear pad-the harness bar should also be much higher ***
Due to a panhard bar mount failure, Scott met the wall at Gateway International Raceway and pancaked the entire side of the car. The following pics are of the damage and the repair.
