Izzy's Custom Cages
Some base designs that we work from. Each cage is custom made for your vehicle and starts with unbent tubing.
Base Cage (SCCA type)
The basic cage offers quite a bit of bang for the buck. It's a no frills cage that doesn't skimp on safety or custom fit. Downbars can be in front of the dash or through it. A crossbar between the downbars (not shown) is recomended.
(SCCA SS,SM & IT require 2 bars per side on 1/07)
Base Cage +1
The Base Cage with X door bars in order to triangulate the cage and increase safety and structural rigidity. Dash crossbar standard, firewall braces optional.
Base Cage +2
X bars added between the main hoop braces to further enhance the structure of the cage. Firewall braces optional.
Triangulated Cages 1,2 &3
Now we're talking stiff. Roof diagonals, firewall bracing, Petty bars, low main hoop X bars and door verticals really stiffen things up.
