The cage was first assembled to test fit all of the elements for the best fit and assembly. Once the entire cage was built, it was taken back apart and welded. The doorbars were actually welded out of the car and then installed as a 2 piece assembly.
The cage uses 1.75"x.095 DOM throughout with 1/8" plate material for the pads. The front strut towers were also reinforced with 1/8" and tie to the front downbars. Look for the Subaru Impreza to be competing in Rally America PGT class in '06.
