Izzy's Custom Cages - Porsche SCCA ITS 924 Cage
This Porsche 924 has competed in the SCCA's ITS class. The owner decided to remove the bolt-in cage and upgrade to a custom cage. Weight was a concern, so the cage was kept mild with the possibility to add more later.
The net weight of the new cage was about that of the old bolt in cage... but with substantially better tie in to the chassis, more room for the driver and more triangulation of the cage elements.
