Izzy's Custom Cages - SCCA/NASA Mazda Spec Miata Roll Cage
St. Louis Region SCCA member Glen Johnson brought us his Spec Miata project for a full cage installation. Glen's a little bigger than the average SM driver, so we built the cage to fit his needs-from the 3 bar NASCAR bar to the recessed main hoop.

1.5"x.095 DOM was used for all of the main cage elements. All triangulation and non required bars use 1.5x.065 to keep weight to a minimum. A 3 bar NASCAR style bar was used on the drivers side to provide the most protection possible. Large "Taco" Gussets as well as a support tube were used on the drivers side A pillar to provide extra support at the bends in the event of a roll over.
A custom seat back brace was built for Glens Miata. Easily adjustable and as easy access as possible for a 6'+ driver in a sardine can Miata.
