    1948 Ford Anglia Hot Rod Custom Fabrication

No firewall, floorpan or rear wheelwell or trunk. The only thing holding it together were pieces of angle & rebar.

    Ford Anglia Hot Rod - Firewall Fabrication - Rounded corner `Inner Fender wells' Ford Anglia Hot Rod - Firewall Fabrication - `Steer Clear' Unit in position in recessed firewall Ford Anglia Hot Rod - Firewall Fabrication - `Steer Clear' Unit in position in recessed firewall A Wizard Fabrication "Steer Clear" unit was added after firewall fabrication had started which led to a slight rework of the firewall. It was decided to build the structure into the firewall rather than add structure in as an afterthought and have visable bracing after the interior was complete.

    The transmission hump is removable (along with the tranny crossmember) to aid in engine or transmission swaps. Along with the removable section the billet hot rod throttle kit was a secondary project added midway through the build

It was decided that the exhaust would run over the transmission crossmember to ease dropping the transmission. Clearance humps were designed into the floorpan to give plenty of room for the exhaust routing and to keep the floor temperatures lower.

The enclosure also had to be removable in order for the entire body to be able to lift off of the chassis.

The rollbar was made from 1.75x.083 4130 and can be easily updated to NHRA legal should the need ever arise.

    The transmission x-member was originally hard mounted. We made it removable to facilitate any future motor/transmission swaps. Along with the removable transmission cover and removable floorpan and bulkhead panels around the rollbar will make finishing and maintaining the Anglia much easier.
