This Formula Vee was brought in for some updates to the hoop. The original hoop was about 1-2" below the current owners helmet. Current SCCA rules require a minimum of 2" between the helmet and a hoop to hoop line. The first pic shows the removal process of the "original" hoop (The chassis showed signs that the hoop had been replaced previously). As many of the original tubes as possible were retained. The height of the hoop that was cut out was just above the top of the air cleaner.
