The owner of this 1999 BMW M3 is making the big leap from track day car to full on race car. The car is being built for the BMW CCA's I-Prepared class.
1.75x.095 DOM tubing was used througout the cage. Pads were tied into verticals whenever possible, as the floor of the M3's offer little in support or structure. The legs of the hoop & downbars were also welded vertically to the pads for added strength and to eliminate the "cage on stilts" effect.
