This Audi 4000 quattro was built to compete in the SCCA's Rally-x program. The owner, Shawn Manny, has been a long time Rally nut and Audi/VW fanatic. Shawn can also be seen helping out at Izzy's from time to time.
With the tight fit that was achieved with this rollbar, the Main hoop and Rear downbars were fabricated, tacked together for final fit, removed, welded, painted and then reinstalled for final welding. The center console and factory seat belts were retained and are still functional.
The Audi was built to compete in Rally-x with the plan to ultimately become a full on Rally car. The "stubs" will allow a forward cage to be added at a later date without reworking the doorbars or sill bars.
